Overview:
NexGen Heating, Air and Plumbing is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day. Our Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing all financial activities and strategies within the company. This role requires a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning, and leadership. This position reports to the President.

The candidate must be located within a commutable distance to Anaheim. This is an office based position.

Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategy in alignment with overall goals and objectives of the company. Provide strategic guidance in partnership with the executive team.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling. Monitor financial performance against target and provide insights to drive business decision making.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements and transparency. Communicate financial results to all stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and other financial regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Financial Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and accountability to NexGen and Wrench Group expectations.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate and act as a liaison with company stakeholders and the Wrench Group Corporate Finance team to support financial needs and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles, with a progression to a leadership position. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in the public sector is highly desired.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, financial modeling, and familiarity with financial reporting standards.

- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and manage a finance team, providing direction and support.

- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business environments and priorities.
- Strategic Thinking: Capability to contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy.
