Responsibilities Looking for a new opportunity with FLEXIBILITY and TIME for family and outdoor activities in the Ozark mountains? Our Springfield early-mid career practice is looking to grow our group of 4 neonatologists and 6 NNPs by adding one additional BC/BE neonatologist. This group provides the unique opportunity to practice in a manageable environment and still care for a handful of infants who are acutely ill or extremely premature.
The ideal physician candidate has at least 3 years of experience, desires a private practice model following evidence-based practice, and is a team player who likes to have fun while taking care of business. There are opportunities for leadership, especially in POCUS or resuscitation, and we encourage individuals to develop expertise in their own area of interest that can be shared with the group. We are flexible as to part- or full-time coverage if we find someone who is the right fit for our group.

- Average daily census of 25, split between 1-2 neos and 1-2 NNPs.
- Average 34 admits monthly inclusive of 2-3 born under 1500 grams.
- Approximately 6-7 shifts/month as backup neonatologist providing routine daytime care for about 5-8 Level II babies (IN HOUSE approximately 3-5 hours/day).
- Attend very-high risk deliveries (under 27 weeks, major anomalies, etc.).
- Provide all aspects of AAP Level III care (no ECMO, no cardiac surgery).
NICU environment:
- State-of-the-art, 46-bed Level-III single patient room NICU.
- Skilled NNPs provide 24-hour, in-house coverage.
- Procedural nursing team who attends high-risk deliveries and provides NICU transport services.
- NICU-dedicated SLP, PT, OT, RT, and pharmacy specialists 7 days a week.
- EPIC and Baby Steps Cloud EMRs.
- Pediatric sub-specialists provide coverage in-person or via telehealth.
- Highly-trained and inquisitive nursing staff.
