Major Hospital is adding a Hospitalist to our established team. The need is pressing, but we are willing to wait for the right physician. Responsibilities include routine admissions of adult medical-surgical and critical care patients, establishing effective plans of care with daily assessment and intervention, as well as the development of a safe, effective discharge transition. A large array of specialists is available for consultation, including cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, infectious disease, GI, and neurology.

- 12-16 shifts per month
- Average 12-15 patients per day
- 4-5 call days per month, coinciding with scheduled shifts. Call involves mainly back-up for the full-time nocturnists on duty

- MD/DO, must be BC/BE
- Hospital Employed
- Solid Nurse:Patient ratios (zero use of travel/agency staff), dedicated unit-based Respiratory Therapists, Dietitians, Pharmacists, PT/OT, RN Case Managers, Wound/Ostomy Care RNs, Hospice/Palliative Care RNs
