Duties:
- Handle all phases of IP litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities.
- Draft and file pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
- Manage discovery processes, including serving and responding to discovery requests, addressing discovery disputes, and working with clients on discovery issues.
- Prepare and argue motions and appeals.
- Depose witnesses and handle document discovery with e-discovery tools.
- Manage arbitration proceedings and assist in trial preparation and execution.
- Collaborate with clients to develop strategies and provide legal counsel.
- Engage in business development activities to contribute to the firm's growth and success.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IP litigation, with at least 3 years of required expertise in all aspects of litigation.
- Demonstrated experience drafting pleadings, handling discovery, arguing motions, deposing witnesses, managing e-discovery, and participating in arbitration and trials.
- Strong technical background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, electronics engineering, or a similar field.
- Professional demeanor with a dedication to attention to detail and client relations.
- Experience in a team-oriented environment and a commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.
Certifications:
- California Bar admission and USPTO admission are strongly preferred.
