This role will provide amazing guest service while maintaining the full operational functionality of the building. You and the entire engineering team are responsible for the repair, service, and preventative maintenance of all things within and outside of the hotel building. Essential Job Functions:
- As a supervisor, you will lead by example in assisting guest with room calls and troubleshoot concerns brought to your attention
- Maintain a Preventative Maintenance program for guest rooms, and other operational equipment, pools, kitchen equipment and other areas as assigned
- Support needs of your department head while giving guidance to the engineers in the department
- Create a team environment in your department and with other departments: Front Office, Security, Sales, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and others
- Work safe utilization of proper PPE and comply with all safety regulations set for by the city, state and OSHA
- Perform general repair and maintenance of any and all equipment found in and around the hotel
Physical Demands:
* Lift, push, pull, rotate 50lbs or more
* Standing and walking up to a full 8 hours a day
Qualifications:
Education:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Previous experience working in a hotel or customer service capacity
Experience:
* Mathematical knowledge of building and construction
* Full understanding and comfort working on a computer with MS Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel
* Preferred Experience working on HVAC, plumbing, construction and machinery
* Full-Time position with the flexibility to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays

5 years: Mechanic working on HVAC equipment, pumps, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and control systems. (preferred)
