POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Operation Manager has overall responsibility for factory P&L, production performance, costs, and quality within the value stream.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategically develop, implement, and manage long-term and short-term production plans in alignment with corporate strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in Operations transformation, KPI deployment and continuous improvement (CI).
- Drive initiatives for the value stream as it pertains to High Performance System (HPS), Safety (EH&S), HR and other key areas.
- Directly and indirectly manage production and functional employees dedicated to the focus factory.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to meet deliverables and resolve production challenges.
- Analyze production data for capacity planning, barriers, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Drive daily KPI standup meetings and serve as a point of escalation for resolution of production issues.
- Execute continuous improvement tools and procedures within the value stream.
- Drive a safety culture through education and adherence of EH&S guidelines.
- Manage staff selection, performance, coaching, and development.
- Act as an ambassador and facilitator of High Performance Culture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have a solid understanding of capacity planning and management, including Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), work scheduling techniques, and inventory management.
Must have a solid understanding of LEAN production management and demonstrated experience of leading Kaizen events.
Strong people management and team leadership skills are essential.
Basic understanding of procurement and finance principles is required.
WORK AUTHORIZATION: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15 is required.
