We are looking for a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer who has deep technical knowledge and skills to join our Public Cloud enablement team at Clarivate.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
It would be great if you also had . . .
- Experience in managing and operating large-scale cloud infrastructures with at least 5 years of experience, spanning multiple AWS accounts, regions, and availability zones
- Advanced knowledge of Linux
- Comfortable using Git in a team setting, applying CI/CD principles to infrastructure build and deployment processes
- Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting performance issues at scale and ability to solve operational problems with a developer's mindset
- Good understanding of software application lifecycle (SDLC) deployment and release management processes
- Broad Cloud Networking and Security knowledge and experience including VPCs, Security Groups, Public and Private IP address schemes and strong understanding and experience of AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Base AMI management approaches
- MS Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
- Advocate and practitioner of modern approaches to systems management and infrastructure automation tooling
What will you be doing in this role?
- Using infrastructure automation and pipeline tooling like Terraform to create AWS accounts, networking and shared services and manage Identity services, in a secure and cost-conscious way
- Manage and govern AWS accounts, Base AMI and IAM/SSO compliance following Clarivate standards
- Work with Engineering and InfoSec teams to ensure security is built-in at every level of the infrastructure layer or stack
- Manage and govern telemetry services, including monitoring, logging and event management for both the Infrastructure and Application layers/stacks
- Enhancement to existing Operational processes including new tool selection to improve an existing process
About the Team
We are a central Public Cloud enablement team called "Cloud Engineering" that provide operations and compliance guidance for existing and new deployments. Our purpose is to guide the technology teams with their Public Cloud adoption following Clarivate standards and practices.
