Essential Functions:
- Manages operational and fiscal activities of the lab to achieve staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
- Sets operational strategy in alignment with and in support of the Company’s overall business strategy.
- Monitors and coordinates functions such as Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Sales, Maintenance, and/or Research and Development, to increase operational quality and efficiency.
- Drives and determines division quality standards and production goals.
- Works with Corporate to streamline quality and processes, ensuring standardization across all lines of production.
- Ensures productivity and quality goals are met by monitoring production, resolving production issues, and motivating team members.
- Reviews daily/weekly/monthly production reports to identify areas that require improvement. Meets with management team to resolve inefficiencies, quality and/or quantity issues.
- Effectively manages lab’s Profit and Loss Statement (P&L), including labor, materials, sales, equipment, etc.
- Monitors quality issues and works closely with Quality Control Specialists and management team to address all issues regarding quality standards.
- Collaborates with Call Centers to ensure high customer service standards, and pending cases are resolved and returned to production timely.
- Analyzes and documents business processes and problems; develops solutions to enhance efficiencies.
- Coordinates and implements solutions from process analysis and general department projects.
- Oversees work schedule for scheduling, distribution, quality control and other supervisors.
- Handles escalated requests and follows up with customer to resolve inquiries, as necessary.
- Establishes and implements training programs and procedures. Works with management team to provide assistance and training to staff as necessary.
- Works closely with Logistics team to ensure timely distribution of cases to production and delivery of cases to customers.
- Coaches and provides career development advice to staff. Establishes employee goals and conducts employee performance reviews.
- Assists staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
- Partners with Human Resources teams to address employee relation matters, determine staffing needs, and set appropriate pay.
- Collaborates with Human Resources to identify potential candidates to fill open requisitions and conducts interviews to assess candidate fit.
- Serves as liaison to other Division General Managers, Departments, and Education Department.
- Collaborates with Marketing Department on marketing strategy of division products. Reviews Marketing initiatives and provides feedback on graphics and imaging for promotions and coupons.
- Communicates with Supervisors, Managers, and Executives on division operations.
- Supervises staff in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrators outlining policy, program, or operational changes to be implemented.
- Develops and enforces lab policies, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, as necessary.
- Ensures all direct reports understand the performance standards of their department and have a clear understanding of their own individual performance.
- May be responsible for oversight and management of support units (i.e., Facilities, Janitorial, Logistics, Purchasing, Inventory).
Education and Experience:
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in dental industry as a dental technician or Certified Dental Technician.
- Minimum five (5) years of managerial/leadership experience.
Pay Range: $81,800.00-$100,000/yr
