The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Director of Adult Congenital Heart Disease at either the junior or senior faculty level.
UMass Memorial Medical Center is a tertiary-care teaching hospital with active programs in all aspects of cardiovascular medicine, cardiac surgery, and structural heart disease.
This position will focus on outpatient and inpatient adult congenital services to serve as a regional referral center. An associated interest such as ACHD imaging, research, or cardio obstetrics would be welcome. UMass has a growing ACHD population and offers the full range of ACHD interventions including transcatheter pulmonic valve implants, septal defect closures, stenting of aortic coarctation/pulmonary arteries, and occlusion of Fontan collaterals. The incumbent would also have the opportunity to manage ACHD patients with pulmonary hypertension and develop a 'treat and close' program.
The candidate will be expected to spend 75% of time in outpatient and inpatient clinical care and 25% being involved with non-invasive imaging, research, and other interests.
- Must be a board-certified cardiologist and board certified/board eligible in Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
