We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in leading the successful delivery of projects and programs, supporting business development efforts, and developing and maintaining client relationships. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce's high-growth Clouds and other high-value solutions for V2's clients. As a Principal Consultant at V2, you will have significant growth potential, with opportunities to expand your expertise, influence strategic decisions, and lead high-impact projects. You will collaborate closely with V2’s leadership, clients, and technical teams, positioning yourself as a key driver of innovation and business success. Your contributions will directly shape the future of our consulting practices and open pathways for career advancement within our rapidly growing organization.
Business Development and Revenue Generation- Help increase the company’s sales by focusing on Salesforce’s high-growth products and platforms like Vlocity, Analytics, and other high-value solutions for client organizations.
- Build and strengthen relationships with Salesforce and Snowflake sales teams.
- Work with the marketing team to create content that showcases our expertise.
- Identify new business opportunities and support sales teams in closing deals.
- Drive middle-of-funnel scoping activities such as scoping/requirements gathering sessions, workshops, demos, and D(3P) lite programs.
- Participate in executive-level closing activities with Sales Leadership and sellers.
Client Relationship Management- Support the scoping, proposal, and close of net new SOWs and/or change orders with the existing client base.
- Facilitate and lead workshops and kick-offs for client projects to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Engage with internal project teams and client stakeholders regularly to understand ongoing business and technology challenges and opportunities. Lead technical conversations during discovery calls with clients.
- Identify and qualify net new opportunities with existing clients through proper stakeholder-level engagement.
- Drive activities to support client buy-in and paint the vision around opportunities to expand the use of the Salesforce platform (e.g., architectural roadmap discussions, development of “proof-of-concept” designs, etc.).
Industry-Specific Solutions and Expertise- Provide support to create industry-focused solutions in high-growth areas.
- Build industry-specific subject-matter expertise and Cloud technology knowledge.
- Collaborate with V2 Talent to leverage existing solutions and knowledge.
- Grow strategic certifications to support role and company knowledge.
- Standardize documentation and training to support company growth.
- Contribute to the centralization and standardization of industry and high-growth cloud and consulting-related documentation, systems, and training.
- Partner with V2 Talent to build and deliver industry-focused training aimed at elevating the competencies and knowledge of Delivery and Sales team members.
Program Delivery- Manage day-to-day client interactions and work effectively as part of V2’s global team.
- Monitor and ensure successful delivery of multiple client programs/projects assigned.
- Provide leadership presence with clients and delivery teams to overcome challenges, hurdles and escalations.
- Ensure high-quality solution designs and implementations using V2’s systems.
- Assist in the growth of the Delivery team, ensuring that people, processes, technologies, and data are in place to scale the Company’s program management, configuration, coding, data, integration, deployment management, process improvement, change management, and training & adoption tracks.
- Manage day-to-day interactions with clients at all levels, including individual contributors, managers, and executives.
- Oversee & manage action items for clients and V2 team members.
- Work as part of V2’s global team, leveraging various resources to achieve optimal project success.
Solution Design & Configuration Work for Cloud Systems Integration- Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Collaborate to design, configure, build, test, and deploy Salesforce.com platform features across a variety of clouds/products.
- Collaborate with project team members to design business requirements and specifications for Apex and Visualforce-based solutions created by the V2 Development team.
- Map out data migrations and migrate data using advanced tools.
- Design business requirements and specifications for custom solutions.
- Present designs and solutions to clients through informal and formal user acceptance demonstrations, both in-person and virtually.
- Lead end-user training sessions and maintain Salesforce.com certifications.
Role Requirements- At minimum, 6+ years of consulting experience with a focus on Salesforce’s high-growth Clouds, including Salesforce Core, Marketing Cloud, Mulesoft, Data/Analytics and/or a combination of these.
- Strong technical background in Cloud systems integration and Salesforce.com consulting.
- Experience working within applicable V2 industries, including Media & Entertainment, Retail, and Communications, to name a few.
- Experience in creating strategic roadmaps and driving business development for external clients.
- Excellent client engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Salesforce Media Cloud experience preferred.
- Relevant Salesforce.com certifications are highly desirable.
Travel Requirements- This role requires 20-25% travel to client sites as needed.
