Medical Director, Psychiatrist CHL-Worcester, MA
UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks a Medical Director, Psychiatrist for Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) service to join Community Healthlink. We welcome and support applicants from all Academic Ranks to apply.
About our Department:
- We are the largest provider of psychiatric services in central Massachusetts with over 400 faculty members who work in a variety of settings within UMass Memorial Health, the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, and the public sector. We integrate our clinical, research, teaching and community partnership activities to help individuals and families transform their lives through recovery from mental illness and addiction.
- The Department of Psychiatry has outstanding training programs which include 27 residents and fellows as well as 16 trainees. Our Psychiatry positions offer the opportunity for involvement in a full range of activities. We are a national leader in public sector psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, biological psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychosocial rehabilitation, women's mental health, and addiction psychiatry.

- The CBHC program is part of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services' "Behavioral Health Roadmap" with the goal of diverting people away from hospital emergency departments and to the appropriate services provided by a CBHC. The CBHC model is designed to provide more efficient, effective, and equitable care.
- The Medical Director is responsible for clinical and medical oversight and quality of care across all Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) services.
- The Medical Director will be responsible for establishing all medical policies and protocols and supervising all medical services provided by staff.

Qualifications
Eligible individuals should have the following qualifications:
- Must hold a MD or DO degree and qualify for a Massachusetts license
- Be board certified or board eligible
