The Urologist physician is assigned to the Urology Section of Medicine Service, VA Central California Healthcare System Fresno, CA. The VA provides patient-centered care, delivered by engaged, collaborative teams in an integrated environment that supports learning and continuous improvement. The Veteran's experience and health outcomes are improved with an emphasis on prevention through healing relationships in an optimal healing environment.
The urologist provides a variety of services including pre-operative patient exam and assessment and performs all aspects of Adult Urological Surgery including treatment of lesions, biopsies, urological laser procedures, enucleation, stent insertion, and prostate surgery. Provides urology-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, ICU, ward, and clinic settings as needed, to include on-call coverage. Provides critical care related to direct care. The incumbent may also be involved in program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to the delivery of quality urological care.
Licensure: Full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
The expected salary range: $315,000 to $365,000. May include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus. Candidates may be eligible for a Sign-on Bonus. Tax Free - May be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program and, if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment Tax Free.
