Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm, Call Required
Desired Skills:
- The incumbent should be able to diagnose and treat all of the common orthopedic surgical conditions, including surgical and non-surgical treatment of diseases and injuries to the musculoskeletal system.
- The incumbent will be expected to participate in the call schedule after hours and will need to possess the ability to respond promptly to emergent situations.
- Be responsible for seeing both inpatient/outpatients and consultation.
- The incumbent must adhere to policies and procedures regarding the completion of all required orders, operation/procedure notes/reports, discharge summaries, progress notes, clinical reminders, all other required medical documentation, and performance measures in a timely fashion.
- Will ensure the most effective delivery of care, while meeting and exceeding compliance, Joint Commission and VA Central Office performance measure standards.
- Will mentor, train and provide supervision for residents and mid-levels in all aspects of their duties as required.
- Performs other directly related duties as required.
