RSM has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Partner to join our Financial Services (FS) practice. This role provides an opportunity to join a high-performing, high-growth tax practice while working with complex clients in the Financial Services / Asset Management space (including private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds). As a Tax Partner for RSM, you will lead the efforts of multiple teams on client engagements and drive growth and profitability by generating new revenue on existing clients, cross selling into other lines of business, and developing new clients for the practice. This Partner will work closely with RSM's National Financial Services tax industry leader to develop strategies and initiatives to further grow the Asset Management tax practice.
As a Tax Partner with RSM, you will have an important role in mentoring and coaching our people to achieve challenging and rewarding careers and developing them into future leaders for our firm.
Basic Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm; or equivalent in law firms or industry with a focus on Financial Services clients including: Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Hedge Funds
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA, JD, LLM, or EA
- Extensive tax compliance & consulting experience serving Financial Services clients
- Must be able to support financial growth efforts and manage a book of business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- A proven record of simultaneously managing multiple projects and engagement teams for various clients
- Project management and critical thinking skills
- Ability to generate new business and extend service opportunities
- Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740
- Experience in dealing with international tax matters
