Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dermatologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin disorders, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. In brief, Medovate is a well-established dermatology practice that offers a wide array of general and surgical dermatologic care while trying to reinvent medicine as a whole. Our practice is physician-owned and consists of two full-time, board-certified dermatologists as well as a wonderful support staff with many young aspiring physicians. Medovate is known for integrative dermatology and has an excellent reputation, aided by Dr. Mann's recent presidency at the Chicago Dermatological Society. This would be a full-time position for someone to help grow the practice. We also have an office in Whiting, Indiana which we anticipate growing in the near future.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient consultations and examinations to diagnose and treat skin conditions.
- Perform various dermatological procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and injections.
- Manage chronic skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans and coordinate care for patients.
- Stay current with the latest developments in dermatology through ongoing education and professional development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Demonstrate expertise in acute pain management and provide compassionate care to patients in need of relief.
- Participate in peer-to-peer review and quality assurance processes to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including neonatologists and obstetricians, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Utilize MDS to accurately document patient information and provide personalized care.
- Work effectively in a Level I Trauma Center environment, prioritizing patient safety and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Participate in educational activities and events to advance knowledge and skills.
- Implement aseptic technique to ensure the highest level of patient care and prevent infection.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dermatology and ability to diagnose and treat a variety of skin conditions.
- Understanding or willingness to learn Dermoscopy.
- Experience with cardiology procedures and patients with cardiac conditions.
- Proficiency in radiation therapy and ability to provide radiation oncology care.
- Familiarity with neonatology and the ability to care for newborns and premature infants.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and prioritize patient care.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop effective treatment plans.
- Compliance with medical records and documentation standards, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
