SOME (So Others Might Eat) is seeking a full-time Clinical Director, Leland/OP to support our Transitional Housing Program (Leland Place) in NE Washington, DC.
Compensation: We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The salary range for this position is $95,160.00 to $111,820.80 and may be commensurate with experience.
Position Description: The Clinical Director, Leland/OP will oversee and direct the OP (Continuing Care) Addictions Treatment services, encompassing Recovery Support and Environmental Stability Services programming. Conducts staff training on substance abuse treatment and offers clinical consultation.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week); Hybrid/Telework Eligible, as approved by the supervisor.
Required: Master's Degree; 3-5 years experience providing services in addiction treatment and mental health; 2 years experience in a supervisory role.
Preferred: Master's Degree; 5-8 years experience providing services in addiction treatment and mental health; experience providing services to the homeless; 5 years experience in a supervisory role.
Required License/Certification: LICSW or LPC by DC Department of Health, CPR/First-Aid, AED, Driver's License.

Expected Contributions:
- Provide clinical assessment of resident mental health needs and provide referral and recommendations.
- Coordinate and provide clinical training for clinical staff.
- Provide clinical consultations for OP, Leland and RSS clients.
- Monitor the usage of electronic health records: review and release notes for billing.
- Provide individual and group therapy to program residents.
- Provide Assessment and Referral intake in accordance with DBH policy.
- Review cases monthly and facilitate treatment planning meetings.
Supervisory:
- Ensure appropriate department staffing levels in order to meet objectives; assess, evaluate, and hire new employees as needed.
- Contribute to budget development, and use sound judgement to leverage resources in accomplishing department goals; administer budget and complete with SOME financial reporting requirements.
- Contribute to strategy development and strive to improve department functions and performance; assist in development of standards and goals as appropriate.
- Submit administrative paperwork to Human Resources, Finance, Compliance and CQI; refer to SOME Employee Handbook or policies for guidance.
- Maintain professional documentation and ensure program is in compliance with SOME CQI Standards.
- Ensure compliance with all state, local and general laws governing the workplace and all department functions.
- Schedule staff work hours, as needed, and monitor for time and attendance; approve time cards and requests for leave.
- Provide direction and guidance to staff members on department operations and procedures.
- Define work requirements, assign tasks to staff members and review work for quality and accuracy.
- Provide regular feedback on performance, monitor individual performance, conduct performance evaluations and take steps for performance improvement as needed.
- Provide coaching and training for staff, assist staff with work process and policies and encourage opportunities for professional development.
Reports to: Senior Director, SUD Continuum - DC
Position Designation: This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing prior to or during your employment with SOME. In this position, you may be disqualified from employment based on the presence of marijuana in test results, even if you possess a medical card authorizing the use of medical marijuana.
