Sertifi is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Engineering Manager to lead our talented team of Site Engineers. This role involves managing our cloud infrastructure and operations, establishing a culture of DevOps, and creating rapid feedback loops to minimize the time between issue discovery and resolution.
This position will report to our Sr. Manager, Operations.

Challenges You'll Tackle:
- Site Engineering Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers as we transition fully cloud infrastructure and operations.
- As a shared service team, establish and reinforce a DevOps culture within the broader technology teams.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous integration and deployment.
- Collaborate within cross-functional agile teams to enhance observability, system reliability and performance.
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all cloud services.
- Drive innovation and efficiency in infrastructure management and operational processes.
- Servant Leadership:
- Champion a servant leadership approach, focusing on the growth and development of your team.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to team members to facilitate their professional development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Incident Management:
- Lead and mentor a team with Production On-Call rotations, driving behaviors and processes to improve MTTR and MTBF metrics.
- Performance Metrics:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of site-engineering and operations.
- Regularly report on the team's performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in a management and leadership role within cloud infrastructure and operations.
- Strong background in DevOps methodologies and tools.
- Expertise in cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and team-management skills.
Nice To Have:
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience in automated testing and monitoring tools.
- Experience in administering Tailscale.
- Experience with HAProxy.
- Familiarity with OpenTofu/Terraform and Spacelift.
- Familiarity with Ceph Storage Systems.
- Familiarity with network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex networks and infrastructures.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
