We have an immediate, full-time opportunity for a General Manager of Operations in our Fairfield, OH distribution center location which includes both front office space (10,000 sq. ft.) and warehouse (30,000 sq. ft). This position is a great opportunity for a hands-on, quick learner to make an immediate impact on the team through their leadership skills.
Our General Manager will lead a staff of 3 customer care and 3 warehouse team members and oversees responsibilities that include several key areas of our business:
- Customer Service - managing a staff of Customer Care Representatives.
- Vendor Relations - maintaining positive relationships with customers and logistics vendors.
- General Operations - Inventory Control, Accounts Payable, HR, Facilities, and Warehousing.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee overall client service, financial and operational responsibility.
- Supervise accounts payable.
- Manage inventory levels in accordance with sales demand.
- Monitor warehouse team to include all inventory movement in and out of facility.
- Oversee weekly product cycle count processes.
- Train, coach, develop, and encourage local customer care team.
- Evaluate/oversee all local vendor relationships for overall best value.
- Work with local sales team to create best possible customer experience.
- Complete some Human Resources responsibilities.
Requirements/Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or military experience.
- Sales oriented, with a customer-driven mindset.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all financial and operational management aspects of a multimillion-dollar business.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
