Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Physiatrist to join our medical team in Spokane, WA. This position offers a competitive salary with bonus potential and a full suite of benefits. The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and either hold or be willing to obtain a Washington state medical license. The role focuses on adult patients, with minimal pediatric involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of physical disabilities and conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular disorders.
- Develop individualized rehabilitation programs to improve patient mobility, function, and quality of life.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies.
- Administer therapeutic interventions, including injections, medication management, and other non-surgical treatments.
- Engage in patient education, promoting wellness and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development through Continuing Medical Education (CME) to stay current with advances in physiatry.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Valid Washington state medical license or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience in managing adult patients with physical disabilities and rehabilitation needs, with minimal pediatric exposure.
- Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
