ResponsibilitiesA Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position is available in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, as part of the Multidisciplinary Liver Research Unit.
We investigate the mechanisms driving resistance to novel forms of cell death, as a consequence of metabolic reprogramming and/or oncogene mutations. Through a recently funded project by the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation and AASLD Foundation, we are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious new team member to investigate the metabolic regulation of ferroptosis during tumorigenesis. Applicants should have the following experience:
- Molecular and cell biology with emphasis on cancer biology
- Experience in handling and conducting experiments with laboratory mice
- Experience with bioinformatics tools (e.g., R, python) is a plus but not necessary
Additional qualifications include:
- Evidence of scientific publications in cancer biology
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to present data at conferences and write funding proposals

QualificationsMust have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
