About The Job
Dudek is currently seeking a full-time Senior Engineer in our Hydrogeology Division. This position provides planning and design support as part of a project team for surface water, groundwater, and water treatment systems. A significant component of the job responsibilities will be in support of a technical assistance program for underrepresented communities, tribes, and small farms related to water supply, distribution, and treatment. The ideal candidate would be a professional engineer with 5 plus years of experience in water infrastructure and treatment and civil engineering. This position will be based out of one of our California offices with work-from-home flexibility available.
The Hydrogeology Division works closely with the other divisions on water-related projects including groundwater and surface water analysis, management, planning, supply, development, treatment, and hazardous waste. The hydrogeology division consists of certified and licensed hydrologists, hydrogeologists, engineers, and modelers. Our projects are diverse in size and scope including compliance with California’s Sustainable Groundwater Management (SGMA) laws, development of groundwater resources for public and private entities, water availability studies, surface and groundwater modeling, and support of EIR and other CEQA compliance documents.
It is anticipated that this position will focus, in part, on a multi-year program for the California Department of Water Resources that identifies and provides support to small water systems, tribes, and small farmers. Support tasks for the program include needs assessments, water supply and treatment analysis and design, development of project alternatives, development of plans and specifications, and preparation of reports including preliminary engineering reports and hydrogeology assessments. Examples of engineering tasks for this Program include design and analysis of water storage and fire flow, water distribution systems, groundwater wells, and potable and irrigation water quality and treatment.
