Psychiatrist (part-time or full-time) - Napoleon, OH

OhioGuidestone is looking for qualified Psychiatrist. Candidates must have a genuine passion to work clients in clinical setting with passion, care, and confidentiality. In this role you will complete Psychiatric assessments and evaluation through case management of clients.
The primary responsibilities of the Psychiatrist are to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medications for patients with diverse mental health diagnoses.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that services are delivered in a medically safe and appropriate manner by following best practices.
- Assess individuals for mental health disorders.
- Review past treatments, evaluations, and other relevant information to develop an appropriate diagnosis and person-centered plans.
- Prescribe medication as appropriate.
- Request diagnostic lab work when appropriate.
- Maintain all necessary documentation and records in a timely manner. This includes the use of an Electronic Health Records system (EHR).
- Provide education to individuals to aid in understanding their diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment. Educate family members and other supporters in treatment, when appropriate.
- Encourage individuals to participate in mental health therapy when appropriate.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and consult with other providers such as counselors, psychologists, social workers and medical staff of other local providers.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required.
- Maintain certification in all agency, state, federal training requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as service definitions related to specific program areas.
- Completes all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Driving and Travel may be required.
- Meets regularly with the other Assertive Community Treatment Team members to formulate and disseminate information and must be available by telephone.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD): Psychiatry
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (OD): Psychiatry
- Board Certified
- Ohio Medical License
