SUMMARY: The Clinical Director is responsible for all clinical programming and services delivered within the residential program. In addition to providing training, supervision, and support to the Case Managers, the Clinical Director also provides supervision to all staff in conjunction with the Program Director. The Clinical Director shall be available to respond to emergencies at all times and ensure compliance with all clinical licensing regulations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for clinical services provided within the program.
- Complete intake assessments on all clients.
- Assist Case Managers with the development of Treatment Plans and goals for the clients.
- Communicate with all collateral providers to ensure coordination of care (DCF, Probation, Parole, and Methadone clinic).
- Facilitate clinical team meetings.
- Review all clinical paperwork to ensure compliance with licensing and funding regulations.
- Manage, develop, and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, training, and performance management. Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy.
- Follow evidenced-based treatment protocols.
- Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs.
- Attend & participate in engagement team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas.
- Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
- Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as SMOC policies & procedures.
- Responsible for the program and client safety; ability to respond to emergencies at any time.
- Will be responsible for disability access.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or Human Services.
- License preferred: LICSW, LMHC, LADCI, LMFT.
- 5 years’ clinical experience working with substance abuse.
- Excellent organizational, training, and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
- Current certification in CPR and proof of TB status.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to walk up flights of stairs.
- Ability to drive a 15-passenger van.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
- Directly reports to the Program Manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position has on-call responsibilities. As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Clinical Supervisor will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required.
