The Role
As the Head of Workforce Identity & Access Management, you blend a high level of expertise in identity governance and administration, modern authentication methods and digital secrets management, role–based access control, and privileged access management solutions with a dedication to delivering customer value. You will define and evolve the product area s vision, strategy and mission and ensure continued alignment and prioritization of work with other key initiatives. In an agile structure, you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to establish strategic priorities based on an understanding of customer needs and enable execution of these priorities by the multi–functional squads aligned to your product area. You will support these squads as they improve value delivered through prioritization, creativity, innovation, collaboration, and decision making and encourage them to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own knowledge and bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.
The Expertise and Skills you Bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in IAM, including significant large team leadership experience. Must have experience engaging with senior business leaders to drive requirements and understand business value. Must have Agile leadership experience. Must have experience securing cloud workloads.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of legacy and modern IAM technologies and protocols (SPIFFE/SPIRE, SCIM, Kerberos, etc).
- You are an inspirational leader capable of defining strategy, setting strategic direction and encouraging and influencing others to deliver results
- You have senior level experience defining strategic roadmaps and leading the development of solutions to achieve business goals
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization
- You are committed to building a balance of technology and non–technology skills to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers
- You are familiar with the fundamental research domain and have a good understanding of the investment process
- You are skilled at negotiating priorities across multiple partners across a large organization
- You have solid background in data analytics and how investment analytics can drive key business decisions
- You create an inclusive environment where associates feel a strong sense of belonging

We take a proactive approach to providing superior security, stability, and performance as we adapt to change by evaluating and mitigating cybersecurity risks across existing and new technologies, managing stability and performance through risk mitigation and resiliency across the full ecosystem minimizing adverse impacts to our customers. The Head of Workforce Identity & Access Management manages a team of squad leaders and will work in partnership with these leaders, and Chapter Area Leaders aligned to the area. Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four–week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
