Description/Notes: Direct and manage the operation of all financial and business affairs of the district including accounting, purchasing, and risk management. Serve as the chief financial adviser to the superintendent and board of trustees.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with a valid CPA license.
- Certification through the Texas Association of School Business Officials preferred.
- Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Advanced technical knowledge of school finance, budgeting, and accounting systems.
- Working knowledge of financial applications and accounting.
- Ability to plan, direct, and establish priorities and coordinate a variety of complex fiscal operations.
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
- Ability to implement policy and procedures.
- Ability to interpret data.
- Ability to manage budget and personnel.
Experience: Five years experience in school business management or public organization.
Salary Range: Minimum Salary: $112,000.
