They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President to join their Atlanta office and play a key role in shaping their private credit portfolio.
Private Credit Vice President Position Overview:
As a Vice President of Private Credit, you will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing private credit investments. You will work closely with senior management to develop and execute investment strategies, build and maintain relationships with borrowers and investors, and oversee the performance of the portfolio. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead high-impact projects and contribute to the growth and success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Sourcing & Origination: Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in the private credit space. Develop relationships with borrowers, intermediaries, and other stakeholders.
- Underwriting & Due Diligence: Lead the due diligence process, including financial analysis, credit assessments, and risk evaluations. Prepare comprehensive investment memorandums and present findings to the investment committee.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the performance of existing investments. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure alignment with investment objectives and risk management policies.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement investment strategies. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance portfolio performance and achieve strategic goals.
- Client & Investor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, investors, and other key partners. Communicate investment performance and strategy updates effectively.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in private credit, investment banking, or a related field, with a proven track record in sourcing, underwriting, and managing private credit investments.
- Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate complex investment opportunities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing and mentoring junior team members. Proven track record of strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in financial analysis software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.
