Are you eager to support businesses in safeguarding their intangible assets to achieve an advantageous position in the market? Then you may be who we are seeking. We are an entrepreneurial intellectual property law firm aspiring for swift growth. We are on the lookout for a knowledgeable legal expert with federal court litigation background who can work with our clients, staff, and founder as part of our team. Primarily, we represent our clients in federal courts throughout the country, yet also in Florida state court. Apart from that, we also handle matters at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and the Copyright Claims Board (CCB). We seek to do more than supply our clients with legal services as we provide effective solutions to secure their IP! A litigator with past federal court exposure and an enthusiastic personality who is ready to be productive from the start is needed on our team. Our attorneys and staff are held to a high standard of flawlessness, and the same applies to anybody we bring on our team. We do not want those who are unprofessional in dealing with clients, other employees or opposing counsel. We need someone who can take initiative and finish assignments without much direction. We are confident in the capabilities of our personnel and want to support them in advancing through their roles in our firm. Preferably, the ideal individual would already have experience with intellectual property law, though not required. If this is going to be a new practice area for you, an ability to follow directions is paramount. In two paragraphs, please type a cover letter. First, explain three key features you maintain a successful patent formation and prosecution lawyer must have and the reasons behind this. Second, state why you are particularly attracted to this job. Qualifications: • At least two to three years of experience in litigating cases in federal court. • Demonstrated capability in writing pleadings for federal court. • Proficient in taking and defending depositions. • Preferably, the experience of heading a case in court, yet not required. • A Florida Bar member is preferred, but if the applicant is not from Florida, then must be willing to sit and pass the Florida Bar exam within one year. • An American citizen is a must.
