Senior Project Coordinator Engineering Design
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility company, is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator! This role is crucial in overseeing the coordination of all engineering design tasks to support their network projects. The focus for this role will be supporting the engineering design workstream, ensuring tasks, functions, tracking, and reporting are efficiently managed. Ideally, they would love a candidate that possesses both utility telecom and project organization skills, with experience deploying MPLS networks in a utility environment being a strong plus.
Pay Rate: $95.00 - $115.00 hourly, DOE
Type: Contract
Location: 100% Remote MUST BE LOCAL
Duration: 12+ months
Schedule: M-F, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Responsibilities of the Senior Project Coordinator:
- Oversee the Engineering Design workstream.
- Facilitate and record technical decisions within the workstream.
- Manage, track, and communicate prioritization of work, including MPLS-related tasks outside the main project that share resources and processes.
- Report to the MPLS Project Manager.
- Receive oversight and direction from the Comm Engineering Manager.
- Develop methods and tools for tracking engineering design work, both internal and external.
- Coordinate with other projects utilizing MPLS and related resources.
- Forecast team schedules and resource needs, considering other projects sharing the resource pool.
- Update design schedules in coordination with Project Controls and the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with other workstream leads to ensure smooth handoffs and workflow.
- Work with other workstream leads to document and facilitate technical decisions for the project.
- Track and manage tasks requiring external processes, such as IT service tickets for firewall rule changes and cyber security reviews.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining engineering project documentation.
Qualifications of the Senior Project Coordinator:
- 5+ Years of experience in Project Organization required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in utility telecom and project organization highly desired.
- Proven experience in deploying MPLS networks in a utility environment is a plus.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams effectively.
- Experience in data management and organization required.
- Experience with project management tracking tools (SharePoint, Excel, data management systems, etc.) preferred.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience highly desired.
