Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Growth and Strategy within the Integrated Defense Solutions (IDS) Business Area, the ideal Capture Director will have proven experience navigating and capturing work within the Department of Defense. We are seeking a professional with experience capturing opportunities exceeding $100M in existing and new market spaces. We desire a strategic thinker that can align strategic business objectives to develop win strategies and proposal artifacts, guide the technical solution, knowledgeable in price to win, leads diverse teams, and drives PWIN up for Army IT programs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the business case analysis, develop and implement the capture plan, and develop and execute the win strategy by leading a matrixed cross-functional team.
- Development and implementation of capture plans including technical, management, past performance, pricing strategies, and win themes.
- Manage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic partnering across industry and vendors.
- Gap identification and analysis driving to unique and competitive solutions.
- Coordinate all proposal activities, prepare various inputs, and oversee final proposal preparation and delivery.
- Robust customer engagement leading to shaping successes.
- Win theme and discriminator development proficiency.
- Experience leading story board and color team reviews.
- Effective use of cross business area/cross sector solutioning and resource loading to increase PWIN and drive best in class solutions.
- Experienced in briefings to senior leadership.
- Manages and controls sales and marketing and bid and proposal budgets and expenses through sound budgetary techniques.
- Financial acumen both in new business fund management and strategic pricing.
- Strong collaboration and team building skills.
- Conversant in strategic teaming and customer relationship building.
- Long term strategy and campaign development for positioning in current and new markets.
- Partner with business development for early opportunity identification, solutioning, and shaping.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelors degree plus twelve years of relevant work experience.
- Proactive attitude and desire to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
- Successful experience both managing and winning large (>$100M award) programs for the Army marketspace.
- Experience leading capture teams in solution development for Army or similar DoD customer in Systems Integration, IT, Cloud, High Performance Computing (HPC), Data Centricity, or Cybersecurity programs.
- Experience managing captures for all common Army contract types including leading development of solution development pricing strategies.
- Demonstrated success in leading multiple captures simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle.
- Ability and desire to build and document data-driven capture strategies and plans.
- Ability to lead diverse matrixed team comprised of Solution Architects, Engineers, Subject Matter Experts, and functional support teams to develop compelling, competitive solutions for customers.
- Ability to develop strategic pricing.
- Knowledge of customer community, relationships, and experience with procurement organizations in the DoD.
- Federal contracting and procurement experience and knowledge.
- Ability to communicate (written/oral) at the most senior levels of government and with internal executives.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Proven ability to engage with customers to advance captures.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with customers, industry partners, and teammates.
- Experience leading large Army captures within industry-standard BD/Capture processes.
- Active DoD security clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Experience leading and winning captures valued at $300M or greater.
- Technical acumen particularly in IT, cyber, HPC, data centricity, and/or cloud.
- Previous experience working as a Capture Manager for large Army IT programs.
Pay Information:
Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
