Salary range: The current salary range for this position is $78,200 - $123,400 (9-month academic year salary), however, off-scale salary and other components of pay, which would yield compensation that is higher than this range, are offered to meet competitive conditions.

Position description
The Department of Earth and Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Faculty position. We welcome candidates from all areas of Earth and Planetary Science, with an emphasis on, but not limited to:
- Ocean Science broadly defined and on all time scales (past, present, and future)
- Geophysics and interior processes
- The interface of Earth Science and mineral, energy, and water resources.
Candidates whose research falls into one of these broad areas or their disciplinary interfaces are especially encouraged to apply.

The basic qualifications required to be considered for this position are a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree, or enrollment in a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree-granting program at the time of application.
