Reporting to the Supervisor, Business Analytics, the Healthcare Analyst will serve an important role in providing accurate reporting and actionable information to internal decision-makers and external agencies. You will work as part of a collaborative team and with Information Technology partners and important partners from internal teams, using data to achieve the needs and goals of SFHP members, providers, and management.
SFHP is proud to support a hybrid work environment - as such, you will be required to be onsite and in-office a minimum of 4 days per month.
Salary range - $110,000 - $125,000
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Collaborate with senior analysts and BA management to elicit and document business user requirements to guide development of reporting and analytic solutions.
- Support reporting to the State of California’s Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC).
- Develop visual storytelling that provides actionable insights and recommendations and allows the business to view statistical outcomes, KPI's, and conduct self-service analytics.
- Create relationships with internal customers and support the adoption of data-driven decision-making.
- Foster an environment that solicits and enlists diverse and inclusive perspectives and approaches to better serve our staff, our members and our providers.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a quantitative field (e.g. economics, statistics, data science)
- 2 or more years of relevant healthcare work experience, including experience with cost and utilization data.
- The ability to formulate and communicate data processes and storytelling.
- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid risk adjustment models (HCC, CDPS+Rx)
- Experience with relational databases and SQL queries including the use of JOINs.
- Experience with visual analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
