Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is currently seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Physiatrist to join a dynamic academic Department of NeuroMusculoskeletal Medicine. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, providing and managing direct patient care at one or more outpatient clinical offices located in the Southern New Jersey area.
Working collaboratively with other Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians as well as Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine physicians, the Physiatrist provides care to patients seeking rehabilitative medicine, pain management, and outpatient substance use and addiction treatment. Experience in Pain Management and Addiction Medicine would prove beneficial in this position. Must be comfortable managing opiates. The NMI and Rowan-Virtua SOM have ample training available to assist with this. The physiatrist provides consultation to clinical staff regarding patient care issues and may also provide patient education to meet the needs of the patient and families. Participates in a collegial relationship with the physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals. Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment for the patient's care.
The candidate must hold the following:
- Valid NJ medical license
- MD/DO
- CDS license
- DEA license

NOTE: This faculty appointment is Tenure eligible and may be granted upon successful completion of criteria listed in the Rowan-VirtuaSOM Faculty Bylaws.
