Description -
As the VP & Head of Software Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and adapting the strategic direction and success of our software solutions for Region Americas. This position encompasses leadership, driving revenue and market growth within a SaaS platform environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer success in the context of integrated software solutions and hardware products within the healthcare sector, particularly in oncology. Organizationally, we operate in a functional matrix design where you will be working cross-functionally within the Americas and globally.
Responsibilities -
Strategic Leadership:
- Execute the strategic vision for the software solutions business line in alignment with the overall company objectives.
- Collaborate with the Software Solutions Business Line to drive innovation and differentiation through software solutions that enhance our position in the oncology medical device market.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, staying abreast of industry trends, and incorporating emerging technologies into the software development roadmap.
P&L Responsibility:
- Assume full accountability for the financial performance of the software solutions business line with responsibility for orders, sales, margins, and EBIT.
- Develop and execute financial strategies to ensure revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular financial analyses to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue maximization.
- Lead business operation functions including sales, implementation, service; deploy resources to meet financial / operating objectives.
Revenue and Market Growth:
- Identify market trends and opportunities, leading efforts to expand the company's market share in the oncology space.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement go-to-market strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance market penetration and revenue streams.
Customer Success:
- Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring the delivery of software solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, gathering feedback to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the customer support team to address and resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Drive SaaS Commercial Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the sale of SaaS and cloud-based Elekta Software solutions.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that cloud solutions align with industry best practices and client needs.
- Adjust commercial strategies based on evolving market dynamics and client needs in the cloud space.
- Equip the team with the necessary tools and resources to effectively sell and position cloud-based Elekta Software solutions.
People, Processes and Compliance:
- Lead software leaders from all functions to ensure successful software strategies across the Americas.
- Ensure the correct skills and resources are in place and retained within the teams with continual development a focus.
- Demonstrate effective leadership behaviors and ensure that all direct reports have clear guidance on expectations on their behaviors in their roles.
- Ensure that regular performance and coaching meetings take place with all direct reports and where necessary ensure that any corrective actions are commenced.
- Manage the selection, termination, development, measurement, motivation and compensation of direct reporting employees.
- Ensure that employee productivity and morale are at high levels.
- Ensure through effective management of direct reports, all employees have a meaningful annual performance planning and evaluation meeting where development activities are discussed, documented and acted upon within a timely manner in line with Elekta Group policies.
- Collaborate and promote a culture of collaboration with colleagues both inside and outside of the Regional organization, thus ensuring the success of Elekta and the function as a whole.
- Maintain appropriate communications and effective working relationships between the various functional areas within the Regional and the Business Line organization.
- Is a formal member of and active contributor to the Regional leadership team.
- Communicate and ensure compliance with Elekta’s Code of Conduct.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the Executive Vice President, Region Americas.
Qualifications -
- A strategic mindset with strong business acumen and commercial outlook.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within a SaaS environment, preferably in the Healthcare, MedTech or Medical Device industry.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving P&L targets.
- Strong background in software commercial and a deep understanding of technology trends in the healthcare sector.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships at all levels.
