What you'll do
- Craft clear and concise product requirements, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Foster collaborative relationships across departments, diving deep into various systems and working closely with partners, engineers, designers, marketers, and customer success teams to not only meet but exceed customer expectations.
- Serve as a vocal advocate for your products, confidently engaging with customers, partners, and internal teams in both individual and group settings. Become the go-to expert in your product domain.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to effectively gauge the success and impact of your product offerings.
- Take ownership of crafting and maintaining a dynamic product roadmap that not only aligns with strategic goals but also delivers tangible value and positive outcomes for our customers and Thredd as a whole.
- Collaborate seamlessly with revenue teams, finance, operations, and engineering, leveraging their insights to assess the feasibility, usability, and market opportunities of product features and enhancements.
- Clearly articulate the vision and strategy for your product area in a manner that is easily digestible, and then consistently execute against that strategy to drive results.
- Construct compelling business cases for the introduction of new products and services, leveraging market trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis to inform decision-making.
- Transform user feedback into actionable insights, driving continuous product improvements and enhancements to better meet customer needs and expectations.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to other Product Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
What you'll need
- Proven track record in Product Management within the financial services sector, ideally within esteemed institutions such as banks, card networks, or processors.
- Deep understanding of payment processing is essential for this role, coupled with the capability to articulate meticulous business requirements for financial service products.
- Prior experience in product management with extensive interactions with the lifecycle of credit products, showcasing your adeptness in navigating the intricacies of product development and delivery.
- Understanding of MVP and lean product development methodologies.
- Proficiency in using product management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Familiarity with analytics tools.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams of Product Managers is desired, highlighting your ability to effectively manage and inspire a cohesive unit towards shared objectives.
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas, requirements, and feedback to diverse teams (e.g., development, marketing, sales).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority and making decisions.
- Ability to address and mitigate issues that arise during the product lifecycle.
- Negotiation skills in balancing the needs of different stakeholders.
- Organisational skills to manage timelines, resources, and budgets.
