Senior Structural Engineer
Our client is seeking a licensed Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on seismic analysis, steel and concrete design, and foundation engineering. The role requires proficiency in various structural modeling programs and the ability to oversee projects from conception to completion.
This role is a hybrid model and is open to candidates in Portland, Oregon, Spokane or Kalama, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Perform seismic analysis and detailing for structural designs.
- Design steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures to meet project requirements.
- Develop shallow and deep foundation designs for various construction projects.
- Design industrial floors to withstand heavy loads and industrial equipment installation.
- Conduct vibration and dynamic loading analysis for structural integrity.
- Design crane rail and monorail systems for industrial applications.
- Implement fall protection measures in accordance with safety regulations.
- Conduct damage inspections and assessments, and develop retrofit designs as needed.
- Execute seismic retrofits and building alterations to enhance structural resilience.
- Utilize FEP structural modeling programs for accurate structural analysis and design.
- Estimate construction costs and develop project budgets.
- Manage the permitting process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct peer reviews of engineering designs to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Extensive experience in seismic analysis, steel and concrete design, and foundation engineering.
- Proficiency in structural modeling programs such as ETABS, SAP2000, or similar.
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations related to structural engineering.
- Previous experience in construction cost estimating and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting to changing project requirements.
