Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.
We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.
Job Summary:
Western Midstream seeks a Reservoir Engineering Advisor to be located in The Woodlands, TX office. This position will provide upstream analysis and insights related to current and potential business development and strategic opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years’ prior experience in Oil and Gas, preferably in a related reservoir engineering role.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and strong work ethic.
- Ability to analyze data and reach independent conclusions.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in PI, FlowCal, and Enverus Prism preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required.
- Experience analyzing well data, creating type curves, and production profiles required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading upstream technical analysis and developing production forecasts related to business development and strategic opportunities.
- Responsible for tasks such as PDP forecasting, type curve generation, and development planning and capital allocation.
- Perform upstream economic analysis such as breakevens and single-well economic analysis, both for commercial opportunities and from a basin-wide comparison perspective.
- In addition to supporting the Commercial group, will also work with the Planning group to assist with customer production forecasts.
- Generate presentation materials for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Assist with miscellaneous technical project-related duties, as required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required up to 10%.
Work Schedule:
This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
