Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs research and analysis to provide insights regarding the market, trends, competitors, potential and existing clients, and current campaigns while leading a sales team to develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, build strong client relationships and meet annual sales goals.
PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Provides the tools and techniques to profile customers, identify market trends and opportunities to increase sales.
- Develops policies, procedures and compensation plans to effectively structure, develop, motivate, and retain top sales talent.
- Analyzes marketing metrics for identifying effect-cause relationships between financial outcomes and marketing actions to raise profitability.
- Achieve sales growth targets/goals for all companies.
- Implementation of a superior sales strategy to penetrate the medical device market(s).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will oversee all of our Life Science sites which currently includes two sites in Colorado and one site in Michigan.
- Uphold and communicate the Vision and Values of TriMas.
- Create a culture of success and goal achievement to lead a cohesive sales team to deliver profitable growth.
- Develop plans, strategies, processes, and budgets that drive sales and marketing efforts to meet the goals and financial targets of the business.
- Implement key KPIs to measure sales performance and report out on a regular basis.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting to their Senior Leadership team.
- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients; understand their specific requirements and provide customer solutions.
- Provide adaptive leadership to deliver scalable departmental solutions, supporting corporate organic and merger and acquisition inspired growth objectives.
- Oversee contract negotiations and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and a good client experience.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
- Manage sales budget effectively.
- Collaborate with all the TriMas divisions and team members to deliver creative solutions to clients.
- Pipeline and Territory management.
- Awareness of regulatory and customer requirements as it pertains to all clients, especially medical device clients (ref. ISO13485) for self and the sales team.
- Travel for in-person meetings with clients and to develop key relationships.

Salary Range: $150 -$175k
Qualifications
10+ years’ experience as Sales Director/Manager for Medical Device (ref. ISO13485) Plastic Injection Tooling and Molding. 10+ years’ experience in sales for Plastic Injection Tooling and Molding.
