You Are
UST is searching for a Senior Android-Linux Software Engineer with experience in Android/Linux OS frameworks SW design & implementation.
The Opportunity
- Design and implement system level APIs and frameworks to enable application use cases for Mixed Reality products.
- Help define the next generation of Mixed Reality products.
- Work in close partnership with a team of cross-discipline peers including design, hardware, PM, and Quality Engineering for sustained long-term success of Mixed Reality products.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What You Need
- A BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of relevant software design and development experience.
- Experience working with Android or Linux or Windows system level frameworks and internals.
- Experience working with embedded systems.
- Writing performance critical code in C/C++.
- Outstanding technical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent design, coding, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Windows or Linux device SW driver development.
- Hardware bring up and Manufacturing.
- BSP and OS image creation.
- Experience using Java, Rust, or Kotlin.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Washington
Compensation Range: $84,000-$126,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options.
