Job Responsibilities
- Develops and drives Infectious Disease & Microbiology global marketing strategy through the Microbiology Research and Microbiome space; partners with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Regional Marketing teams to lay the foundation for new product entries and partnerships, and to manage current portfolio.
- Works in tandem with regional marketing and sales organization to ensure alignment of strategy, messaging, and tactics.
- Partners with internal and external agency teams to develop marketing content (campaigns, positioning, messaging, etc.).
- Collaborates deeply with upstream marketing and product management on VOC, product design inputs, and launch strategy.
- Builds close relationships with key customers, thought leaders, and industry influencers to stay abreast of emerging market trends and regulatory guidance.
- Collaboratively works with the marketing leadership team and functional management to drive the business strategy.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience, at least 3 in product management, marketing or commercial role in life science.
- Hands-on experience and deep expertise in molecular technologies and Infectious Disease / Microbiology/Microbiome and NGS workflows.
- Experience with NGS workflows.
- Experience in ushering products from concept to launch; opportunity assessment and portfolio management of research and clinical products.
- Experience with genomics markets and/or diagnostics product lines is strongly preferred.
- Location at San Diego HQ is strongly preferred.
- Education: BS required, preferred but not required Masters/PhD/MBA.
The estimated base salary range for the Senior Marketing Manager, Infectious Disease & Microbiology role based in the United States of America is: $105,600 - $158,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
