What You'll Do
To a Hopdoddy General Manager, Team Members are the internal Guests. We believe that it starts with our people. At Hopdoddy, people drive process and process drives results. The GM oversees the selecting, hiring, and training of each team member. They enthusiastically approach each shift as an opportunity to improve upon the previous day's success, where the satisfaction of a hard day's work is part of the happiness. A General Manager develops their Management Team so the restaurant runs consistently when they are in the building and when they aren't.
A business savvy Hopdoddy GM demonstrates good time management through work/life balance. This individual operates with an independent spirit and cultivates the individual personality of their restaurant. They keep the restaurant in like new condition and never turn their back on a standard. A Hopdoddy GM generates financial results with an understanding that sales and profits are the results of earning the active loyalty of their community.
A Guest-focused Hopdoddy GM believes that loyalty is earned by keeping our promises to deliver pure & crafted food & drink alongside hospitality from the heart. This person believes in the power of the platinum rule and treats Guests and Team Members as they wish to be treated. They create a fun environment where Team Members are encouraged to express themselves in the way they take care of the Guests. Our GMs give back to the community and uphold our environmental reverence.
- 3 years senior leadership experience in the Hospitality industry OR 3 years leadership experience in the Hospitality industry & Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Entrepreneurship
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to develop and execute business strategies
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Servsafe or State Alcohol Service
- Servsafe Food Manager
- Harassment Prevention
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years senior leadership experience in the Hospitality industry
- Experience with Restaurant 365 / Compeat software
- Experience with UKG UltiPro, Paycom, Kronos or similar timekeeping systems
