Atlas Technologies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to provide leadership and guidance in managing technology projects for our growing organization. Our ideal candidate is an expert in identifying customer and client needs and managing multiple projects and distributed teams.

In this role you will work closely with stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to deliver our customer the most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will work with all stakeholders to identify appropriate resources and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs and technical constraints to maximize business benefit.
Apply your project management and technical skills to ensure successful delivery of IT solutions for the US Coast Guard through our partnership with the US Navy, National Information Warfare Center (NIWC). Workplace located in Washington, D.C.
Pay Band: $120,000 - $160,000 based on experience.
You Will:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and demonstrate a mature project management approach in managing technology projects.
- Work with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, and/or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services.
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Work closely with technical experts/project leads to ensure timely completion of deliverables with focus on meeting project commitments and quality control.
- Act as interface between the technical teams and other groups including the customer and sponsor, and support organizations for all activities and issues pertaining to the Technical work.
- Work directly with customers to understand their priorities, define goals and strategies for improvement, identify additional contract opportunities, and resolve issues.
- Establish and standardize processes and quality control plans and facilitate project close-out meetings with customers and address concerns in a timely manner.
- Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management.
- The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
- A strong IT background which will assist with providing technical management of projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strategic thinking ability.
- Strong technical writer and job aid development.
- Experience with requirements gathering and creating requirements traceability matrix or functional requirements documents.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile teams through successful project delivery.
- Previous experience managing technical development projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Prior experience working across contracting teams in a federal government environment is a valuable asset.
- Experience taking a project through to completion from requirements to deployment and experience working with customers.
- Expertise within Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentations.
- Experience with process improvement and process mapping.
- Experience with initiating Shared Reviews for documentation development.
- Organization skills.
- Superior attention to detail.

- Demonstrated and verifiable ability to develop, support and maintain high performing teams.

- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree or equivalent in IT related field.
- Background in Mobility or Manta Virtual Desktop is valuable as well.
- PMP equivalent cert/background.
- Lean Six Sigma certified.
- Experience with US Coast Guard and/or US Navy.
- 3-5 years SharePoint experience including familiarity with SP capabilities, permissions management, etc.
- Various IT Project Management certifications illustrating depth in IT space.
