JOB DESCRIPTION
Job: General Manager
Summary
Manages and assumes responsibility for all functions of an Independent Domino’s Franchisee’s (“IDF”) restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service are delivered. Oversee restaurant profitability. Execute all Company policies, procedures, programs and systems. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage store staff members
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies, procedures, programs and systems.
- Document performance issues.
- Maintain overall responsibility for financial performance of IDF.
- Maintain administrative and cash management responsibilities for IDF.
- Safely interact with customers at their homes.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Handle sensitive and confidential customer information in a responsible manner.
- Execute credit transactions and make bank deposits as necessary.
Physical Demands
- STANDING: Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
- WALKING: Walking is generally in short distances for short durations.
- SITTING: Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
- LIFTING: Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more and are lifted/moved to walk-in cooler or other sections of the store.
- CARRYING: Large cans and trays of pizza dough are carried over short distances.
- PUSHING: Pushing is performed to move trays which are placed on dollies.
- CLIMBING: Team members must infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
- STOOPING/BENDING: Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station.
- CROUCHING/SQUATTING: Performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas.
- REACHING: Reaching is performed continuously; up, down and forward.
- HAND TASKS: Eye-hand coordination is essential.
- MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, WORK AIDS: Team members may be required to utilize various tools.
- DRIVING: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
- WALKING: Delivery personnel must travel efficiently between the store and delivery vehicle.
Work Conditions
- EXPOSURE TO: Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
- SENSING: Talking and hearing on telephone.
- TEMPERAMENTS: The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Two years successful restaurant management or supervision experience preferred
- Basic accounting including invoice reconciliation and financial statement analysis
An equivalent combination of experience and training may substitute for some of the listed position qualifications.
Additional Information
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a driver’s license valid under the laws of the state(s) where the team member works
- Must be able to work scheduled or unscheduled shifts, including nights and weekends
- Bilingual in certain markets preferred
- Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred
