Department of Medicine: Hematologist (Open Rank)
The Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ seeks to employ a hematologist at the assistant or associate professor rank.
The potential faculty member will have responsibilities on the inpatient and outpatient hematology service, and teach hematology oncology fellows, residents, and medical students. They will have the opportunity to develop a clinical and/or translational research program and have collaborative opportunities in established clinical and translational research programs. Focus areas in hemostasis and thrombosis are preferred but other areas of focus in classical hematology also are possible. The Division of Hematology has an active Hemophilia Treatment Center and sees a broad range of patients with classical hematologic disorders.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick is part of the RWJBarnabas Health System. The affiliation of Rutgers Health and RWJ/Barnabas Health, the largest health system in NJ, presents exciting opportunities for growth and expansion of the hematology program. Minimum Education and Experience: MD/DO or equivalent
