About The Role
In this role you will work closely with teams across the business driving growth for all ReedPop brands, including Comic, Gaming, and Branded events, and our digital site Popverse.
You will work with the biggest games publishers, agencies, media partners and non-endemic brands. Taking advantage of ReedPop’s leading position in the market, you will bring major commercial opportunities, event experiences and sponsorship activations to our clients, engaging our diverse range of audiences.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the ReedPop Sales team with an emphasis on coaching, career development and training
- Defining and implementing sales strategy with the Senior VP, EVP’s and DSO and support the creation of associated strategic documents
- Selling and managing assigned key accounts
- Providing creative and strategic direction for over 1000 exhibitors and multi-million dollars in sponsorships. Ideate and execute on strategic projects in partnership with Director of Sales Operations, Event Management and other relevant leadership departments
- Working with the sales team to implement company-wide sales initiatives set by executive sales leadership
- Developing and maintaining relationships with industry associations and leading exhibitors.
- Overseeing the implementation of sales strategies, budgets (including T&E and sales promotion) and sales compensation plans
- Having ownership and accountability is key to this role, including continuous communication with management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrate ability to succeed in a demanding, client-facing, commercially-oriented event sales, media sales or other relevant senior commercial role
- Have a track record of selling events solutions and/or media advertising solutions to video games, pop culture, entertainment and/or technology clients
- Possess instinctive ability to manage and grow relationships, especially with major media agencies, bringing in new clients and opportunities
- Be able to present to all levels of seniority, both externally and internally. A high level of business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit is needed.
- Possess a positive attitude and a team-first mentality
- Have experience in both people management and sales industries.
