Job Description
Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world-class engineering center with the focus on excellence.
As a Director, you will own the team vision and execution of software design and development for major components of Oracle’s Health Application & Infrastructure platform. You will apply your technical and organizational skills to solve delivery, support, and operational optimizations, while modernizing the services platform to meet the needs of next-generation clinical application development.
The model candidate should have technical depth, architectural know-how, passion for building a world-class team, and demonstrated ability to balance work across initiatives. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
About the Role:
- The role will be responsible for managing a team of 20+ engineers with a variety of skillsets and experience levels.
- The role will be responsible for coordinating with our product teams on work and priority to ensure the team has a concise vision and set of goals prepared.
- The role will be responsible for ensuring the team meets key metrics, establishes milestones, and manages and achieves commitments.
Responsibilities
You have solid communication skills. You can clearly explain complex technical concepts.
You have clear operational expectations from the system and engineers, and can drive culture to form the go-forward basis for operational excellence with the team.
You have exposure to Cloud, SaaS, and virtualization concepts and performance concerns.
You contain knowledge and have experience defining and monitoring system's quality measures, SLO, and SLA.
You have built tooling to improve reliability of systems, automated remediation of issues, and improve scalability of platforms and systems.
You work backward, starting from the user or consumer. You care about creating usable, useful software that solves real problems and brings delight to users.
You work well with everyone. You can lead a conversation in a room with designers, engineers, and product managers.

US: Hiring Range: from $120,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries, and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
