We're looking for a Senior Director of Engineering to spearhead the development and management of our franchisee tools.
Role Overview
The Senior Director of Engineering will lead a multifaceted team of engineers, product managers, and designers, dedicated to crafting and maintaining our suite of Franchisee facing tools, including FRUM (Franchisee Restaurant User Management), RAM (Restaurant Attribute Management), and rInsights, an in-house analytics platform. This role is pivotal in building tooling for our franchisees to better operate their restaurants.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our franchisee-facing tools, ensuring they meet the needs of our franchisees and align with corporate business objectives.
- Drive the development and enhancement of FRUM (Franchisee User Management), enabling management of franchisee restaurant user hierarchies and access controls.
- Oversee RAM (Restaurant Attribute Management), ensuring accurate recording and setup of restaurant attributes, and a seamless integration with downstream systems.
- Lead the evolution of rInsights, our comprehensive analytics platform, providing actionable insights and data-driven decision-making tools to our franchisees and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our tools are scalable, user-friendly, and aligned with the latest industry standards and technologies.
- Engage with franchisees to gather feedback, understand their challenges and continuously improve tool functionality and user experience.
- Manage budgeting, planning, and execution processes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, product management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful technology products, ideally in the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of software engineering practices, product development lifecycle, and agile methodologies.
- Technical expertise with designing architecture for data infrastructure and products.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive teams towards achieving business goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for negotiating and influencing stakeholders across levels.
- Experience with analytics platforms, user management systems, and operations management tools is highly desirable.
- Passion for crafting and delivering outstanding user experiences.
