Employer is seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead a team of Territory Sales Managers in the Northeast region of the US. This role is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to meet growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have a track record of meeting sales objectives, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience in negotiating and contracting with key customers and distributors.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic sales plans to meet sales forecasts
- Identify and capitalize on go-to-market opportunities for profitability and growth
- Monitor performance of distributor partners and conduct regular business reviews
- Build and develop a strong direct sales team through coaching and support
- Establish a clear vision and direction for the business
- Maintain balance within the sales organization, ensuring attention to all routes to markets and product lines
- Analyze and manage regional dealer sales data to drive engagement and organic growth
- Coach and mentor Territory Sales Managers to improve funnel management and use of CRM
- Develop relationships with Marketing to drive marketing strategies and priorities
- Maintain and develop relationships with key customers and industry leaders
- Prepare annual business plan and manage budget for assigned operation
- Anticipate risks and devise contingency plans
- Perform problem-solving process and provide actions to eliminate errors
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields
- 5+ years of outside sales experience
- 2+ years of sales management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Track record of meeting sales objectives
- Experience in negotiating and contracting with key customers and distributors
- Familiarity with different go-to-market strategies and selling channels
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience in dental or medical device sales management preferred
- Ability to manage, coach, and develop a sales team
- Adaptable and able to work well in an unstructured environment
- Strong data analytics skills and proficiency in CRM and MS-Office applications
Travel/Location
- All business expenses will be reimbursed
- Eligible for incentive trips and other company-sponsored activities
- Northeast US region, with key cities including Newark, NJ; New York City, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA; Washington DC; Baltimore, MD
- Approximately 30% overnight travel and 60% day travel
- Candidates can be based within the region and near a major airport
Target Market Salary Range
$115,900 - $138,500
