THE OPPORTUNITY:We’re growing! ActBlue is hiring a Senior Product Manager to inform and execute our extensibility and integration strategy. ActBlue integrates with many tools to get our data into the hands of customers and partners aligned with our goal to fuel long-term, people-powered change.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Outreach, Marketing and other teams across ActBlue to gather information about user needs, define and prioritize product requirements, ensure the smooth execution of your product roadmap, and iterate on improvements through data-driven measurement and validation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:- Ship integrative technical solutions that enable progressive fundraising administrators to integrate and manage contribution data within their own toolsets and technologies, empowering them to make their own insights on their own terms.
- Apply your technical expertise and user insights to influence extensibility and integrations product strategy, and align this with broader data product strategies.
- Write clear and concise product requirements focused on framing the need, context, constraints, opportunities, and goals – and effectively communicate them to senior leaders, designers, and developers.
- Work closely with developers and designers to understand technical constraints and possibilities, and translate these back to non-technical stakeholders. Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure the right product ships at the right time.
- Build and foster a strong product culture around testing and learning in order to iterate quickly, mitigate risk, and get to the right product.
- May support supplementary projects as assigned, ensuring timely and efficient completion in line with organizational objectives and standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:- You have 3-5+ years of experience as a software product manager and 5+ years of experience in software.
- You have recent experience shipping technical integrations. You know the tools of the trade and technologies used in the political tech space. What you don’t know, you’re comfortable learning through technical documentation.
- You are comfortable conversing with technical partners. You understand their motivations and needs, then can generalize and translate those insights into crisp product requirements for design and engineering stakeholders.
- You are familiar with a few of these technical concepts: Webhooks, APIs, Oauth, basic authentication, SQL, and/or previous development experience.
- You drive to build respect and strong relationships wherever you go, whether with external partners or internal stakeholders. You understand that saying “no” is far more powerful than saying “yes.”
- You utilize both qualitative research, quantitative data, and ongoing experimentation to inform the evolution of your product, platform, and/or feature areas. You are comfortable setting and measuring progress against KPIs.
- You’re an effective communicator, and know how to adjust your message according to the audience, whether it be an external potential partner or internal cross-functional stakeholder.
- The ability to thrive in environments with engaged – and sometimes very opinionated – teammates. You’re dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, and don’t just welcome, but center and amplify, backgrounds and points of view that differ from yours.
- Experience working with geographically distributed, cross-functional product teams in the process of creating – and shipping – complex products.
- Passion for progressive causes and politics and the desire to spend your time making a meaningful impact by doing what you do best.
