The University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry has just welcomed their new Department Chair, C. Neill Epperson, MD and is in the process of growing the Department of Psychiatry with new programs and expanding existing programs.

Nature of Work
The position requires innovation, flexibility and the ability to work across healthcare systems. The psychiatrist will be based in the University of Colorado Hospital Emergency Medicine Department with perform Psychiatric moonlighting services.
Please note, this is an open rank position and could be categorized as Clinical Instructor, Clinical Senior Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below.

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in attending rotation in ED service with flexible hours
- Build relationships with other departments and campuses
- Participate in the attending call rotation
- Actively contributes in Academic Advancement of his/her discipline
- Keeps abreast of the latest developments in field, both academically and through applied skills
Supervision Received
This position reports to the Director of Emergency Services and Department of Psychiatry.
Supervision Exercised
This position will not supervise other employees.
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring rate for these positions has been established at:
Clinical Instructor: $120/hour
Clinical Senior Instructor: $120/hour
Clinical Assistant Professor: $120/hour
Clinical Associate Professor: $120/hour
Clinical Professor: $120/hour
For the moonlighting hours worked. This is non-negotiable as it is a department standard rate.
This is a non-benefits eligible position.

Minimum Qualifications
Clinical Instructor: 1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: MD, CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License. Board Certified, Eligible, or Eligible by the time of hire in Psychiatry.
Clinical Senior Instructor: 1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: MD, CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License. Board Certified, Eligible, or Eligible by the time of hire in Psychiatry.
Clinical Assistant Professor: 1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: MD, CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License. Board Certified, Eligible, or Eligible by the time of hire in Psychiatry.
Clinical Associate Professor: 4-7 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: MD, CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License. Board Certified, Eligible, or Eligible by the time of hire in Psychiatry.
Clinical Professor: 7+ years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: MD, CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License. Board Certified, Eligible, or Eligible by the time of hire in Psychiatry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following:
- Clinical skill is required for conducting brief and targeted assessments in integrated care settings
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentations to community audiences.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment.
