The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, one of four campuses in the University of Colorado System, is the major academic medical center in the Rocky Mountain region. The Anschutz Medical Campus is home to the University of Colorado Hospital, Children's Hospital Colorado and a new Veterans Affairs Hospital, making it one of the largest and most comprehensive biomedical research and clinical care centers in the western United States.
The Department of Psychiatry Adult Division Psychiatrist will provide clinical coverage of services at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO and/or as a Telepsychiatrist at UC Health Clinics across the front range as delegated by a person licensed to practice medicine in Colorado. There will be a combination of in-person and telework, including tele-consultations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform psychiatric consultations/evaluations
- Provide telepsychiatry assessments
- Provide outpatient evaluations and treatments
- Participate in performance improvement activities; quality improvement and patient safety activities; assists in maintaining compliance with JCAHO accreditation and other internal and external regulatory standards including the code of conduct.
- Actively contribute to the academic advancement of the discipline
- Maintain eligibility for SOM faculty appointment
- Assist with medical student, resident and fellow education in both clinical and didactic settings
- Participate in the attending call rotation
Please note, this is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at:
Instructor: $205,000 to $220,000.
Senior Instructor: $205,000 to $220,000.
Assistant Professor: $205,000 to $220,000.
Associate Professor: $220,000 to $245,000.
Professor: $250,000 to $300,000.
This represents the 25-50 percentile of the salary range which is reflective of a candidate with 1-7 years of experience. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

Minimum Qualifications:
Instructor:
- 1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
- MD and/or DO
- CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License
- Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry
Senior Instructor:
- 1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
- MD and/or DO
- CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License
- Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry
Assistant Professor:
- 1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
- MD and/or DO
- CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License
- Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry
Associate Professor:
- 4-7 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
- MD and/or DO
- CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License
- Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry
Professor:
- 7+ years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
- MD and/or DO
- CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License
- Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry
